Chronicle
History starts with the company's foundation 1964 in Wuppertal by Arnold Herzig.

In 1970 the company settles down in Sprockhoevel, motivated by the first enlargement step. Also the new head offices resident is here.

Lots of patents and redesigns as well as the consistent orientation of the product spectrum towards the customers requirements establish the company quickly as fixed size in the field of printing and numbering machines.Resulting of this success, the term RADUS was introduced. It is the short name for "Rationelle Durch-Schlag-Numerierung" and means "rational crash numbering". Keywords like "Who numbers thinks of RADUS" get the former product name by the years to a brand name.

In 1981/82 the second enlargement step is made, requested by continuous growth. Both the production capacities and the administrative range are expanded.

Since the end of the eighties, forced by varying markets, the direction of the product range is heading for the security printing sector on forms. Nowadays the enterprise is proud to be part of the market leadership.

Activities, market & customers
Key business of our worldwide engaged, middle-class structured enterprise is development, production and marketing of components, machines and plants for security printing and encoding.

Here a splitting occurs between the graphic sector and the packaging industry.

Public authorities and credit banks as well as private and government security printers all belong to our circle of customers in the graphic field. Printeries of most different lines and the accounting departments of banking systems and insurance companies appertain to our customers, also producers of money printing presses and pass numbering systems.

In the packaging industry field, our machines are used for marking and encoding products and packings in companies of most different economy and product branches.

Products and services
Our products can be divided technologically into systems for sheet-fed and continuous forms and multiple forms etc. for the graphic sector and for packaging marking/encoding to folding boxes, bags, skin- and blister packs and so on.

Systems for accurate hotstamping of registered holograms and scratchfoil, imprinting heads for inks and ribbons, label dispensers for self-adhesive labels, thermal transfer printers and inkjetsystems are the focal points of the product range.Several separating systems and transport units for offline-encoding complete the manufactured range.

In addition to our serial program, we also develop individual solutions as systems tailored to customers requirements or integrate components and modules into existing production systems. If required, we do project planning from single systems up to complex production lines. In this case, we also cooperate with famous machine manufacturers of repute out of the respectable operational area. Consequently, we can offer consultation, conception and education to our customers "from a hand".

Presentation, advertising and marketing
Regular exhibitions on international fairs nationally and internationally are the most important bridge for us to our customers. But also using modern electronic medias e.g. the Internet are equally natural for us. However, the personal contact to our customers and our business partners is further in most supreme place. We always have of course our ear at pulse of time, so you can find our items in national and international publications, in particular for the security print area.

Direct marketing ex works, including showroom and "glassy production" is an important tool for developing new markets and the support of our loyal customers. Our global representation we attain with independent acting agencies. They assure consultation, sales and service for our products on site. By covering different languages as English, Spanish, French and of course German in our house and the assistance of our foreign representations, we are able to operate the complete international market.
